If you’re like many people, you buy insurance hoping you’ll never need to file a claim. However, if the time should ever come when you do need to file a claim, it’s important that you know what to do.

What Happens After You Call Otterstedt?
Once you call us to report your claim, we go to work for you. We understand how confusing, and often emotionally difficult, times like these can be. It feels like there is so much to do. That is why we are here to help you by taking the following tasks off your plate.
- We report the damage to the insurance company.
- We’ll find an adjuster to survey the damage for the insurance company.
- We notify your account executive, so you can work with someone you’ve already developed a relationship with during this challenging
Through it all, the Otterstedt Claims Rep is here to help you in any way possible. We’ve even prepared a list of companies you may want to contact for emergency services in the aftermath of your claim if you need assistance right away and outside of normal business hours (since most catastrophes never choose convenient times to occur). These companies can handle things like removing water, so it doesn’t cause further damage, providing boarding up services, etc. until the damage is surveyed and more extensive repairs can begin.
