Business Personal Property Insurance

Your Business personal property is the property that is in the building or within 100 feet of the described premises. This does not include the building itself. This includes furniture, machinery, stock for sale and all other personal property owned and used in the business.

The personal property that is in the care, custody and control of the policy holder, such as employee’s items, are also under the policy and are covered. This applies to property that is in the building or within 100 feet of the described premises. It also applied if the property is in the open or in a vehicle. Some property of others may not be covered under the normal policy and need to be address separately.

Personal property that is temporarily at a different location for example, a trade show or exhibit, is covered provided that it is not in a vehicle in transit or in the control of a salesperson. Property in transit may not be covered.
